The Law Office of Patricia Palguta
Assisting children with special needs is both my passion and my joy. As the mother of a daughter with special needs, I know our children's potential is high, often underestimated, and that a strong education can help them flourish. I will be by your side, ensuring that you know your child's rights and fighting to secure a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) for your child.
"Patricia was very efficient and helpful in resolving our complaint with the school district. I would strongly recommend her services to resolve any special education issues." R.G.
"My child was not meeting his IEP goals, along with numerous suspensions, services were removed off my childs IEP without my knowledge. Patricia was very passionate about my concerns, listened with a caring heart along with her extensive knowledge. I was extremely nervous going up against the school district and their lawyers, Patricia made me feel so secure and explained the entire process. Patricia went above and beyond she truly was my guardian angel. Because the process is complicated, understand you have legal rights and every child deserves the right to a free appropriate education, it can also help those children who are slipping through the school system to be recognized and receive access to special needs resources, please don’t hesitate to call Patricia and get the help you deserve for you and your family." M.V.
"Patricia was very professional and at the same time very compassionate about our case, listening and taking the time to find out all the details and how best she can support our daughter. She answered all our emails promptly within the same day and communicated with us as soon as she had any updates on our case. We initially thought that we will not be able to afford an attorney to be on our team but she was very reasonable with her billing and her hours. We highly recommend her." J.S.
"Patricia Palguta has assisted our family for a few years now with all three of our special needs children's IEPs and is always willing to move mountains... She communicates to your needs within 24hrs and really tries to make sure her client understands where we stand and what can be done moving forward. She has a way about her that feels she is on your side on how she communicates to other parties, firm and direct responses even for the simplest of tasks of the IEP to meet your child's needs with goal setting, academic progress or appropriate school settings. I am grateful for her service with our family's circumstances. I would recommend her services to anyone that is in need." K.B.

Tricia Palguta graduated with honors from The American University, Washington College of Law in 1993. She worked as a Public Defender after graduation, where she gained invaluable courtroom and litigation experience.
Tricia's daughter, born with Down syndrome and Autism, was the catalyst for her change in careers. She experienced firsthand the frustrations of dealing with her school district and the denial of services her daughter required. She understands the process from a parent's perspective, knows that it can be emotional, and is there to support and guide you to the best outcome for your child. Tricia is dedicated to ensuring that children receive a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Tricia puts your child first. She worked as a Special Education Advocate in San Diego and Orange Counties for 10 years prior to taking the California Bar Examination. She will utilize her knowledge and experience gained from working with these districts to try to settle the case in your favor prior to going to a Due Process Hearing. However, if the case does not settle Tricia will call upon her extensive courtroom experience and fight for your child's interests at a Due Process Hearing. Education/Continuing Education:
